Agents

Use postflare with agents

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or your terminal to postflare once. Then ask it to draft, schedule and follow your Posts. It acts as you, with no more access than you have in the web app.

Agents come with every plan and the free trial, at no extra cost.

  1. 1

    Add postflare to your agent with the server address below, or install the CLI.

  2. 2

    Sign in to postflare and approve the agent on the page that opens.

  3. 3

    Ask for what you want. Posts an agent creates start as Drafts, and nothing goes out until you ask it to schedule.

Server address

Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor connect to postflare at this address.

claude.ai

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it postflare, paste the server address and choose Add.
  3. Choose Connect, sign in to postflare and approve Claude.

Claude Desktop

A connector you add on claude.ai shows up in Claude Desktop too. To add it from the app instead, open Settings, then Connectors, and follow the same steps.

Claude Code

Add the server in a terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http postflare https://mcp.postflare.ai/mcp

Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, choose postflare and sign in in the browser that opens.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Apps & Connectors, and turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings.
  2. Choose Create, name it postflare and paste the server address as the MCP server URL.
  3. Choose OAuth as the authentication, create it, then sign in to postflare and approve ChatGPT.

Cursor

Add to Cursor

Or add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json yourself:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "postflare": {
      "url": "https://mcp.postflare.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Cursor then lists postflare in its MCP settings. Choose to sign in there and approve Cursor.

The postflare CLI

For your terminal, scripts and agents that run commands. Install it with npm, which needs Node.js 22 or later:

npm install --global postflareai

Then sign in. The CLI shows a code and opens a page where you check the code and approve it:

postflare login

To try it without installing, run it through npx instead:

npx postflareai login

help lists every command, and every command takes --json for scripts. Your login stays in your system keychain until you run logout.

postflare posts
postflare upload launch.mp4 --post <post-id>
postflare help

When an agent runs the CLI

An agent without a terminal you can see signs in in two steps. It runs the first command and passes you the address and code it prints. You approve them in your browser, and the second command waits until you have.

postflare login --json
postflare login --complete --json

What an agent can do

It can

  • List your Channels and whether each one can publish
  • Create and edit Posts, which start as Drafts you review on the site
  • Add Media from a link, or from a file on your computer through the CLI
  • Schedule, unschedule or publish now, in your time zone
  • Follow each Publication, and retry or remove one that failed

It cannot

  • Connect, reconnect or delete Channels
  • Touch your plan, billing or account settings
  • Change a Post that is already published

Every Platform rule, Channel limit and fair-use limit applies exactly as in the web app. When you ask it to schedule, it tells you which Channels, what time and which time zone.

See and revoke access

Settings lists every agent with access. Revoke one and it loses access within a minute. To come back, it has to ask you again.
